Most people use AI through a chat in a browser tab. It works, but the chat cannot see your project. So you copy a file in, copy the answer out, paste an error, and repeat.
What a browser chat is good at#
- Quick questions and explanations.
- Nothing to install.
Where it gets slow#
- It cannot open the files in your project folder.
- It cannot run a command and read the result.
- You apply every change by hand and hope you pasted it in the right place.
What NTXM Agent does instead#
NTXM Agent is a desktop app that works where your files are:
- Reads your workspace. It can explore folders and search the file system.
- Edits files you can review. Every change shows up with Keep or Revert.
- Runs terminal sessions. It can run a command and read the output.
- Operator. It can look at another app's window and click and type, step by step, with each step shown in the Activity timeline.
Chats and sessions stay in the app's data on your computer. There is no NTXM cloud sync for chats.
